Murals
The geometric style I have developed for my murals has proven to be a powerful tool for connecting with a wide audience.
Its visual language transcends barriers and communicates on a universal level. The clean lines and precise forms of geometric shapes beautifully complement the modern architecture that surrounds them.
There is a certain allure in the purity and elegance of these shapes. The versatility of geometric designs also offers opportunities for interpretation and exploration. While rooted in structure and precision, there is room for playfulness and creativity within these boundaries. I believe that art has the power to transform public spaces and evoke emotions in unexpected ways. Through my murals, I strive to create engaging experiences for viewers, inviting them to pause, reflect, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds them.

Rivertown | Durban
Jonathan Lieberman, founder of Propertuity and creator of Johannesburg's Maboneng Precinct, acquired River Town in Durban's CBD to replicate his successful urban regeneration efforts. Propertuity entrusted me with creating two monumental murals on opposite sides of the block, symbolizing their arrival and revitalization.
One mural spelled out "RIVERTOWN" to represent the area's identity, while the other celebrated Durban as a beach city with the wording "BEACH CITY LIFE," paying homage to its unique character.

Park Square | Umhlanga
Park Square, an impressive office block developed by Nedbank in Umhlanga Ridge, Durban, showcases its commitment to sustainability with a 4 Green-Star rating. To provide a serene environment for tenants, mural artwork and sculptures were incorporated throughout the building. I collaborated with Shift Media to create two prominent murals, generously supported by Plascon. Drawing inspiration from the nearby Chris Saunders Park, my artwork features an eagle mural capturing a moment of soaring grace as it hunts racing pigeons.

LCIBS | Durban
LCIBS (London College of International Business Studies) in Pinetown, South Africa, is a vibrant campus where the fusion of London and African influences comes to life. Entrusted by award-winning architects Designworkshop, I had the privilege of creating murals that adorn the campus's common areas and lecture rooms. Inspired by iconic London landmarks like Big Ben, the London Eye, and London Bridge, my aim was to infuse these symbols with the warmth and vibrancy of African patterns and colors. The weaving patterns and rich hues drawn from African heritage beautifully complement the recognizable London landmarks.

Cornubia mall | Durban
Investec invested in a mall in Cornubia, which showcases two grand flights of stairs cascading onto a central courtyard. I was commissioned to paint intricate patterns on the front-facing facades to elevate their visual appeal. The challenge was to craft patterns that fully revealed themselves when directly viewed from the front of the stairs. However, they fragmented when observed from various angles, thus generating a dynamic visual experience as individuals moved around the space.

Spiga Restaurant| Durban
The brief was to create a mural that would brighten the restaurant and warmly welcome guests at the entrance. The owner’s only request was to feature a wolf, symbolizing his Roman roots, along with his life motto, "La Vita è Bella."
The mural reimagines the iconic Roman wolf as an emblem, marching forward with determination, holding a fork and waving a banner that proudly declares "La Vita è Bella." This energetic image reflects both the hard work and dedication required to maintain the high standards of Spiga restaurant, embodying its spirit of service and excellence.
